Qualifications and Experience

Led by Dr. Roger Lee, MA (Cantab), MEng, PhD, CEng, FHKIE, MRAeS, MIET, with extensive qualifications, memberships, and experience across global engineering and safety, quality, health and environmental management.

With over 26 years of experience in safety-critical industries, primarily in mass national and international transportation, Dr. Lee has served as Safety Management System Post Holder for two Air Operator Certificate (AOC) operations and as a Senior Executive in Safety for international mass transport and power generation and distribution sectors.

His qualifications include a PhD in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, USA, and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, UK. A Chartered Engineer with the UK Engineering Council and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Dr. Lee is also a former Royal Air Force Sixth Form and Flying Scholar.

He has served on the Business Advisory and International Advisory Committees of the Flight Safety Foundation and received the Flight Safety Foundation Business Aviation Meritorious Safety Award in 2012. Dr. Lee has completed training in Safety Management, Safety Investigations, Flight Data Analysis, and Lead Auditing from institutions including the UK National Air Traffic Services, Cranfield University, and BSI.
